This year will be an unusual one for brides due to COVID-19 and social distancing. While many brides who had planned for spring weddings have postponed until the summer, this change in tone has created a unique array of bridal hairstyles for summer 2020, but all of which follow a single theme: nature. The trend now is styles are as beautiful in their simplicity as they are in incorporating fresh flowers as a nod to what they have always symbolized: life. Fresh flowers incorporated into any wedding style are as dramatic as they are statement-making, but be sure to keep simple, clean, and elegant.
LOOK #1: Peonies in a Twisted Chignon
Chignons as a knotted updo present a messy, undone effect paired with some simple peonies and lilacs woven into a birchbark hair accessory. What makes this style work is the slightly off-center placement of the fresh flowers that makes the style formal, but not too formal that it looks dated. The length matters, however, so you need enough hair to create a really full chignon.

A Tip If You're Going for Chignons
Chignons are a classic formal hairstyle, but they can also be the most damaging to natural hair, especially if they're too tight and your extensions are tugging of the roots of your own hair.
