1: Floral & Romantic
Since ancient times, fresh flowers and greenery woven into braids, and chignons have adorned the heads of brides. Simple and divine, in recent years flowers have become a dominant trend once more as brides lean in towards natural, earthy and bohemian themes for their wedding day.

2: Timelessly Accessorized
If New York Fashion Week is any indicator, our reminiscent love of all that was the 90s continues to shape hair trends in the form of classic hair accessories. From Banana clips to thick headbands and Scunchi’s stretch hair combs and rhinestone hair pins…high fashion is all about adding in that little bit extra! Moreover this amount of hair bling has also trickled its way into bridal trends. Diamond or pearl encrusted floral pins, clips and tiaras have spotted coast to coast.
Back in February, reality TV star Victoria Wakile of The Real Housewives of New Jersey fame tied the knot with husband Teddy Kosmidis in New Jersey. As covered by People Magazine and E!, her diamond headpiece went viral and become the talk of social media.

3: Stunning in Pearls
Pearls are classically linked to weddings and special occasion, but putting a modern spin on them isn’t easy. However, since last year pearls have been spotted adorning the hairline or cascading down a sleek braid, appearing to almost float in the hair.
This trend was the work of celebrity hairstylist Justine Marjan (who counts Kim Kardashian, Olivia Culpo and Kerry Washington among her A-list clients). She premiered the trend on Lucy Boynton on the Oscars red carpet with a pearl-adorned part and it’s been a stunning choice ever since!

4: The Sleek Bridal Pony
The ponytail, when done sleek and mermaid length offers a classic and enduring hairstyle, particularly when paired with a veil and headpiece. It has proven to be the bridal style of choice for 2 of this year’s highest profile weddings.
On May 17th, PEOPLE magazine revealed that pop star Ariana Grande married her fiancé Gomez, in an intimate yet elegant ceremony with less than 20 people, surrounding by friends and family. Her wedding photos shared on Instagram were liked by 18.5 million people.
Earlier on March 27th, rapper Jeezy tired the knot with Jeannie Mai, co-host of “The Real” talk show. Similarly, they played it safe with a small ceremony at their Atlanta home with just a few friends and family. It was her seemingly mile long wedding train hiding her sleek waist length ponytail that dazzled.

5: Simply Chignon
The Chignon is synonymous with weddings and is also one of the first hairstyles ever created in the early days of hairdressing. Essentially a knot formed at the back of the head or settled into the nape of neck, fashioned from pinned hair. It also is very versatile, and can be work sleek or messy or even composed from a braid or twist of hair.
Back in January actor Alexander Ludwig married fiancée Lauren Dear at a stunning winter spot on top of a Utah mountain. A similar trend to most weddings this year, they snuck away and eloped in a simple ceremony surrounded by stunning vistas and snowy mountains. His bride had her done up into a simple chignon, shiny and sleek.
