Star actress, Ryan Destiny, showed off one of our human hair wigs dubbed Fringe With Benefits lace front wig at the BET Experience this past weekend and she looked fab!
Ryan co-hosted the BETX Live! event with Trevor Jackson and she knew she had to look her best to host this event so she enlisted the help of celebrity stylist Darnell Davis. Together they settled on a rocker chic look for her hairstyle.
Once the look was settled upon, Darnell contacted us to get top quality hair that is always red carpet ready. He knew that the Fringe With Benefits wig would be the perfect style to achieve this look. This wig comes with long bangs so they were able to customize the choppy bang to perfection. Ryan and Darnell loved the fringe cut, however, to best suit Ryan’s look as well as her face, Darnell needed to cut the wig a bit shorter, so he recreated the cut a couple of inches higher.
After that, Darnell got to know the hair by washing it. “Once I saw that the natural texture was so beautiful and those waves really popped, I decided to leave the texture as is, and that gave it that wet piecey look,” Darnell said when deciding on how to style the wig. He added a volumizing spray as well as a texturizer for extra drama as well as hold to ensure that her look held up through the night. He added a nice contrast with the straight bangs, but still kept with the edgy theme by keeping them nice and choppy.
When asked about the final look, Darnell said, “I wanted it to be as messy as possible, but as polished as possible, and I really feel like we achieved that look.” We couldn’t agree more, Darnell!
